Day 0: Getting to, and our first day in Paris!
...The day has finally come; the plane tickets were triple-checked, we've quadruple-checked with our ride to the airport, our bags were packed [twice], we had our passports, the air conditioning was turned off at the house, the credit card companies were called, the mail was forwarded, the fridge was empty, the dogs were dropped off at boarding and the schedule we knew within the United States was 100% clear for the next two weeks! .....and...."Bonjour!" We've landed in Paris!
Day O: The day before our tour started
Keep moving ! Stay ahead of that "jet-lag !"
Nicole and I arrived to Paris one evening and one morning before we met our group, Nicole had setup a Taxi to take us from the airport to our hotel in the Rue Clair District. This extra day gave us ample time in case of an airline mix-up or delay, fortunately we experienced neither! We stayed in the Rue Clair district and didn't skip a beat once we got off the plane! With the flight being as long as it was and staying awake allowed us to, mentally, skip a day and warp right over to Europe. We landed at about 4pm in Paris [having left Texas at ~4pm] and acted like the flight never happened. We checked in and just as soon as we dropped our bags, were off and running! We did a quick walk around the area, over to the Seine, caught a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, caught some dinner and headed back to the room to catch some sleep!
